Merry Christmas!

What a wonderful Christmas we had this year. The boys were very spoiled! We had our first Christmas on Christmas Eve at my parents house. Here is Cole digging in...
Blake and his tool bench...
Opening his leaf blower...he's excited he has one just like Daddy's.
By far Blake's favorite gift this year...an easel. It has a dry erase board on one side and a chalk board on the other. You can also clip paper to it so you can draw or paint. And it's magnetic so he has been putting magnets on it and playing with his magnetic alphabet. We put it in his room and he loves it so much, he will play up there all by himself...which is a new thing for us! He thinks he's an artist and he always says he can't play right now because he has to go "work" on his easel!
Cole and his new car...he is thrilled that Grandpa is pushing him around and he doesn't have to do any of the work!
Cole's favorite gift...a slide! He loves, loves, loves this thing. He slides down so fast, says "bump" when he hits the floor, then jumps up and says "ta da!".
After spending the day with my family, we went back home to open up the boys Christmas ornaments. Blake got Thomas the Train...
and Cole got Tigger and Pooh.
Our tree Christmas morning...
Blake opening his stocking...he was so excited about opening gifts that he didn't even care what it was. He pulled this out of his stocking and very enthusiastically said "Oooh, Santa brought me some underwears!"
Cole and his tunnel...
Santa brought the boys a kitchen. The look on Blake's face was so cute when he noticed it sitting by the tree. He was so excited!
Blake and his new baseball glove...
Blake and his Spike Jr. dinosaur...obviously he is not ready to share with Cole
The aftermath...
On our way to Grandma Puckett's Christmas morning...both boys were pooped from opening gifts at home and slept the whole way there.
Blake and Cole hanging out with cousin Kanin
Our little sleepy head after round 3 of opening gifts...
Cole and Grandpa at Grandma Hoover's house Christmas night
Cole and Grandma snuggling...
Our tired little guy...I guess 3 Christmases in one day can really wear a guy out.

Playing Catch Up

It's been a while since I've posted, so here is a December Super Post to see what we have been up to. We've been busy! The pictures are in no particular order because blogger won't let me rearrange them, so sorry if it's confusing! Blake was bugging us for weeks to take him to Chuck E. Cheese. We finally went last weekend and you would have thought we took the guy to Disney World. He was so excited. Cole enjoyed his first time too. The last time he went he was only a couple of months old, so this time he got to play with the big kids!
We went to the Children's Museum for Jolly Days with Grandpa and Grandma. Here is Blake in the middle of a snowball fight. Don't get in his way...he looks serious!
Cole making friends--or not--depending on if he hit anybody with that ball.
The boys driving a race car...
Cole making friends with the guy in the mirror...
Water fun...
Blake and I made our first gingerbread house this year. We had so much fun making it and Blake actually put the candy on the house instead of eating it. I was shocked!
This is the face we get from Cole when he sees the camera now...cheese!
The first weekend in December, we went to Ohio to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Davis. We took the boys to the Christmas Carriage Parade, which Blake loved! It was a huge horse drawn carriage parade with so many beautiful horses. All of the carriages were decorated with Christmas lights. Cole didn't get into too much, so he hung out in the church nursery most of the night...maybe next year! Here are a couple of pictures of the horses.
Devin, Cole, Grandma Davis, and Blake It was freezing that night!
We also went to the Christmas village at Grandpa's work. They had lovely little Victorian houses set up to look at and at the last one we got to see Santa. Here is Grandpa singing with the carolers.
Cole sitting and listening to Grandpa sing...
Devin, Blake and Grandma in front of one of the houses... Brothers! I really don't dress them alike too often, but sometimes I just can't help myself... Our family at the lighting of the Danville Christmas tree...
