Trick or Treat

Our little zoo animals! Blake was a monkey and Cole was an elephant. This is the best we could do for a picture with both of them in it. It's not an easy task...
Ready or not, here we come!
Along for the ride...
Our big boy! Last year Blake was so timid, but this year he just ran right up and rang the doorbell.
One of the houses in our neighborhood had games in their driveway for the kids to play. Here is Blake throwing turtles in the ghosts mouth.
It didn't take long for Cole to figure out how this all works!
Give him a sucker and he's a happy guy.

Fall Fun

The boys playing at the park... This picture may look cute, but Blake is secretly planning his next move...
...which is to throw leaves all over his poor unsuspecting brother.
Where did everybody go?
It's a miracle! I actually got a picture of Blake looking at the camera--this is a rare thing these days!
Helping Daddy carve our pumpkin...
Blake, so deep in thought and Cole just wondering what the heck is in there.
Our little cheering section...
Mr. Big Stuff
After all that, I realized I didn't even get a picture of the finished product. The boys lost interest before we were done and were off doing other things, so we got a little sidetracked.

Pumpkin Patch

One of my favorite days of the whole year...pumpkin patch day!! This year was a little bit of a wash out though. The day was beautiful, but it had rained the previous 2 days so the pumpkin patch was a muddy mess. We made the most of it though and had a great time.
The first couple of weekends in October are the Apple Festival at Beasley's Orchard so they have some fun things for the kids to do, including this guy who made balloon animals. Blake got a turtle...
Blake in the corn maze...which was also a muddy mess!
Cole and Daddy with our pumpkin...we only picked one from the pumpkin patch this year because they were all huge! Who knows what they put on those suckers...
Cole enjoying the hayride...see that bruise on his cheek? That's a hazard of being able to walk!
Blake checking out the mud...
Blake, Cole, and Mommy on the hayride...
Blake giving me that cheesy smile!
This was taken at the Fall Festival at the church were Blake goes to school. Cole loves to swing!

Apple Picking

It's my absolute favorite time of the year...fall! I love that the weather turns cooler, it's hoodie weather, and we can curl up with a blanket while watching TV. And the boys look so stinking cute in jeans I can't stand it! And the best part is--it's apple picking and pumpkin patch time! Here's Blake at Anderson's Orchard in Mooresville. He thought he needed to taste every apple before we could put it in our bag.
Blake needed a little boost from Grandpa to get the apples that were up too high...
My parents went with us since Devin was working. Those boys love their Grandma and Grandpa!
Oh, so cute...
Blake and Cole with Grandma...
Cole stealing Grandpa's hat...
Blake working hard...
My dad, me and Cole...Cole is loving his apple!

Quaker Day Parade

A couple of weeks ago was the annual Quaker Day Parade in Plainfield. We had never been before, but this year since Devin was having a golf weekend with his friend we decided we needed something fun to do. I wasn't sure if Blake would enjoy it, or if Cole would hang out in his stroller for that long (In case you haven't noticed, Cole NEVER rides in his stroller! He is always attached to me in his carrier. He is not a stroller kind of guy.). But Blake did love it and Cole watched to whole 45 minute parade from his comfy stroller.
Proof!
Blake and his friend Olivia waiting for the parade to get to us...
Blake's favorite part of the parade was, of course, all of the candy. At first he couldn't figure out that is was all for him, but once he got the hang of it he was out there grabbing candy like a champ.

11 months!

It's the second to last bear picture! Cole is 11 months old and is officially walking. He loves being a big boy and being able to walk around like his brother. His personality is really starting to come out and we are discovering he is just as stubborn and persistent as his mommy! He knows what he wants and he doesn't like it if we try to tell him otherwise. He is such a go-with-the flow kind of baby and loves when we are on the go. He is much happier to be out and about than playing at home. It's a good thing my bear pictures are coming to an end, because it's much harder to get him to sit still than it was at the beginning...

On The Move

Cole decided this weekend to officially start walking. He had been standing for awhile, but never made much effort to walk. He's so proud of himself and gets so excited when he does it. My favorite part of the video is when he takes a little break in the middle to dance along to Blake's computer game.
