3 years old!!

Blake turned 3 on May 25th! I know every parent says this, but I can't believe it has been 3 years already!! He got a swingset for his birthday from us, Grandma Brennan, Grandma and Grandpa Hoover, Grandma and Grandpa Davis, Grandmother Puckett and Aunt Jane. Here he is enjoying his present.

It took Devin and my dad all day to assemble the swingset, and they had a lot of help from Blake.

Cole likes the swingset too. It's actually his birthday gift too...just a few months early. He loves to sit and watch Blake play.

The Plainfield Fire Department brought a firetruck to our house for Blake's party. At first Blake didn't know what to think, but he ended up having a great time and all of the kids loved it.

Singing "Happy Birthday"...I think this was his favorite part of his whole party. The look on his face was adorable when he realized everyone was singing to him!

After running errands the other day, this is what I found when I got out of the car. He was out like a light.

Our little man thinks he is so big that he only wants to sit up. No more laying down in the baby tub for this guy! We've been working on learning how to use the sippy cup. He doesn't quite get it yet...he doesn't realize it's easier to bring the cup to your mouth than take your mouth to the cup. Progress! This was taken the first day he decided to sit up (about a month ago). He is so proud of himself!

6 months!

Cole is 6 months old today! It's changed our lives so much having this little guy that it's hard to remember what it was like just 6 short months ago before he arrived. He is truly a blessing...such a smiley, happy guy. So much has happened in the last month for Cole. He is eating solid foods, he can roll over both ways, and he is sitting up. It literally happened over night. One day he couldn't sit up, the next day he was doing it like an old pro. He had his doctor appointment yesterday. Here are his 6 month stats: He weighed in at 16 lb 7.5oz and is 27 inches long. The doctor said he looks great and is right on track.
