Hendricks County Fair

Blake riding the "red tractor"...This kid LOVES tractors! He gets to ride Grandpa's tractor every week, so he was excited to see tractors at the fair.

Riding the carousel--we were disappointed they didn't have the pony rides this year, but I think Blake was happy riding this horse instead. He rode it 3 times in a row! His first taste of a funnel cake...yummy! He kept saying "More cake please!". Taking a break to eat dinner and watch the horse show--We couldn't believe he would sit down long enough to watch it. 23 weeks

The Big Brother.

His current list of names for his little brother are Apple, Moe, and Tek--depending on when you ask him. Most often he says he wants to name him Apple. I don't think he's going to get his wish...

Cousins

This past week Devin's brother Paul, his wife Amy, and our nieces Mia and Molly, got to come stay with us. It was the first time we had seen them since Blake was only a few weeks old, so it was wonderful to get to spend some time together. Mia is a couple of months older than Blake, so we hadn't seen her since she was only a few months old, and we had never met Molly. It was so much fun to get to see Blake with his cousins.

Happy Birthday America

This year, the theme for the Ferris' annual 4th of July party was the Olympics. Each person or couple chose a country to represent...you can imagine the outfits that people came up with! This is a picture of everyone who dressed up.

They also had track and field, basketball, and ping pong. Megan and Stephanie representing China... Our happy family from Ireland--Blake really got into the face paint.

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July, we went to Hummel Park to play and watch the fireworks. Unfortunately Blake didn't make it for the fireworks, but we did have a good time seeing all the people and watching everything that was going on. They had an orchestra, bounce houses, food, firetrucks...all sorts of good stuff. Here are Blake and Daddy after Blake informed us he wanted to go to "Blake's house". We assumed from that he wasn't going to make it until the 10pm fireworks.

We also went to a cookout at the Younie's. Here are Blake and Aaron cooling off. Aaron, Abby, and Blake Blake with his first fireworks...those fun snappers that pop when they hit the ground. They were a big hit.

We had our ultrasound of our new little one, so I thought I would share some pictures of how cute HE is. Yes, it's a BOY!!! Of course we are thrilled for another little boy and I think Blake is excited to have a little brother. This is a picture of his profile and his cute little button nose.
