Christmas Morning

Devin, Blake, and I are so lucky to have such wonderful family to share Christmas with! We spent Christmas Eve with my parents and brother, had Christmas morning at home, went to my Grandmother Puckett's for the afternoon, then my Grandma Hoover's for the evening. Unfortunately, I was on call this Christmas so we didn't get to see Devin's family in Evansville, but our hearts were with them! We appreciate everything you sent us and hope you know we were thinking of you! We hope you enjoy the pictures and can see how much Blake enjoyed Christmas this year.
The annual picture of the Christmas tree...what Christmas would be complete without it?

Here is Blake opening his favorite gift of all this Christmas. They are Playhouse Disney figurines and he carries them everywhere!
He takes the figurines and sets them up in a row on the floor or on a table and he gets so upset if they fall over or if he can't get one to stand up. Devin says he is definitely our child since he is obsessively organized like us.
Devin opening his present from Blake--he got an external hard drive to hold all of these pictures we can't seem to stop taking and for his new IPOD.
Blake and his new puzzles...he likes to do puzzles almost as much as he likes his books.
The boring stuff--clothes!

Devin and I started a tradition this year where we are going to give our kids a Christmas ornament to open on Christmas Eve. This year Blake got--what else?--Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Playing in his new ball pit--This was such a hit we had a hard time getting him to open the rest of his presents!
Checking out the new coloring books
Thanks for my Care Bear Uncle Paul and Aunt Amy!
Giving the Care Bear some love--yum, smells like blueberries!

At Grandma Hoover's...

Blake was such a good boy, but was pooped out by the time we got to Great-Grandma Hoover's on Christmas night. But, all he needed was a little Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and he was good to go!
Being silly in his "hat"--he kept putting it on and taking it off and saying "hat".

At Grandma Puckett's...

Reading a book with Grandpa that was a gift from Uncle Jay and Aunt Kris...Blake and Daddy playing... Blake got a bean bag chair for his new play room!
Loving his new monkey rug--we are redecorating his bathroom with monkeys and Great-Grandmother Puckett got Blake all the monkey goodies.
Grandma Puckett, Dustin, Aunt Jane, and Jimmy opening gifts...
Mommy and Blake with more monkey stuff...you can see he is more interested in the wrapping paper.

Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa Hoover's

Another picture of a Christmas tree...I can't resist!
Santa came and put the gifts under the tree while Blake was napping. Here he is after he woke up and got his first look at all the loot.
A little tentative a first, but he definitely figured out how the tear those packages open.
Reading some new books...
Blake got a new sled and a fun ball from Uncle Scott. I don't even know if the sled will make it to the snow--apparently it's more fun to ride around the living room.
Helping Uncle Scott open a gift...
Devin opening his new miter saw...
Blake got a dancing Mickey Mouse from Grandma and Grandpa. I think he's a little confused by it since it sings the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song, but there's no TV show to go along with it!
Opening his basketball goal...
His best friend, Mickey Mouse.

Meeting Santa Claus

We took Blake to Metropolis to meet Santa this past week. He liked him from afar, but wasn't too excited about sitting on his lap...which is why Mommy is in the picture too. Do you think Santa is awake?
Blake also got to see Santa at Grandpa's lodge Christmas party. He was a little more brave this time and actually made it into Santa's lap. I think it's because he was preoccupied with the present Santa gave him.

Random Pictures

Have we mentioned that Blake is obsessed with watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? Here he is hanging out on the air mattress in the living room like he owns the place.
Blake loves to read...these books were a gift from Uncle Paul and Aunt Amy and he loves them. I love how he concentrates so hard when he looks at them.
Sporting Daddy's Chicago Bears hat...
Poor Gracie--Blake loves to torment her constantly...even when she's eating.

Chuck E. Cheese

Blake made his first trip to Chuck E. Cheese this past week. He had a great time riding the cars and playing any games that involved a ball. And, he loves pizza so that was a bonus too.
