Pumpkin Carving

Blake carved his first pumpkin this weekend. He wasn't as
into it as I hoped he would be, but he had a good time. He
wasn't too sure about the gooey stuff in the middle.

Pigeon Forge, TN

The next 6 posts are from our annual trip to Pigeon Forge, TN. We had a great time with wonderful friends!
This is a picture of our cabin, Big Bear Lodge.

Hanging Out at the Cabin

This is the annual steak dinner that the men make for us on our last night at the cabin.
Watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse... I know this is a silly picture, but I wanted to post it so you can see his new molars! He worked very hard for those, so I thought he should get some credit! :)

Blake and His Friends

This year's trip was interesting with 3 toddlers! We decided it's not as relaxing as it was pre-babies!
Isabel (10 months), Blake (17 months), and Ava (14 months)
Ava and Blake hanging out Blake checking out the ladies in the bathtub--I think he was a little jealous he had to bathe separately! Ava puckering up for her kiss...it looks like Blake got distracted by the camera mid-pucker.

Ripley's Aquarium

We went to the Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg with Terry, Amie, and Ava on Friday. Blake was a little grouchy (as you can see from the look on his face!) but he had a good time.

Bath Fun

These pictures didn't have much to do with our trip, but they were so cute I coudn't help posting them!

On the Road

When what should have been a ~7 hour trip turned into a 9 1/2 hour trip, Blake had to get serious about his drinking! He was so good the whole way home...Devin and I kept waiting for him to have a breakdown, but he never did.
Watching a movie: Whatever it was must have been pretty good, look at that excited face! What did parents do before portable DVD players? Taking a nap... Look at all those chins! I didn't want Blake to be lonely, so I just had to nap with him.

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend, we took Blake to Beasley's Orchard to pick out his pumpkin. We took a hayride to the pumpkin patch then had hundreds of pumpkins to choose from. Blake thinks that anything that is round is a ball, so he kept pointing at all the pumpkins and saying "ball" in his little southern accent. He also thought the apples on the apple trees were balls :)

I Use the Potty!

Blake can pee on the potty! We got his potty about a month ago and he sits on it every night before his bath. For the last week, every time we sit him on it he actually goes! He is very proud of himself...he lifts the lid, sits down, potties, closes the lid, then claps his hands. I know we have a way to go before he's potty trained, but at least it's a start!

At the park...

Blake turned 16 months old on September 25th and is turning into such a little man. It still amazes us how he seems to change so quickly. I wanted to get some pictures of him since he is at such a fun age, so we took some at the park this past weekend.
Who needs toys when there are all these sticks to play with? Checking out the creek below...we were watching the fish jump out of the water. Now matter how big I think he's getting, all I need is a little perspective to see that he's still got a ways to go!

Heritage Festival

This past weekend was the Avon Heritage Festival. Devin had to work it, so Blake and I tagged along and played while Daddy worked. It looks like Blake has just found a long-lost friend!
Thanks to Grandpa, Blake loves to headbutt everyone he sees. I guess that means he really loved this turtle! Chillin' in the bounce house...

Family Photo Shoot

These are pictures of our attempt at getting a family photo. They were taken at Danielle's wedding and Blake had had a long day and wasn't cooperating too well.
