It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I can sit!

Who is this guy!

Family at the Masonic Lodge

My new friend, Juliana

Why don't I have that much hair? (2 1/2 months!) We will have some more pictures of the family after the holidays, but I wanted to post a few new ones. Blake will be 7 months on Christmas and has now learned to sit up. This discovery brings a whole new meaning to his toys.

Bears vs 49ers

I recently had the chance to visit Soldier Field with a buddy and watch my Bears build a 41-0 lead by halftime. There is nothing like the city of Chicago. I wanted to post a few pictures that we took.
*I have also changed the option on who can leave comments on the blog. I didn't realize that my setting was incorrect, so feel free to leave a post for us without becoming a member*

Pigeon Forge, TN

This past week we took a trip to Tennessee. It is becoming a yearly tradition for us to go down with some friends and rent a cabin in the Smokies. We had a great time and as you can see the views from our cabin were amazing. I think Blake enjoyed his first vacation, too. This is our cabin, Mountain Majesty. It had three levels -- four bedrooms, jacuzzi tubs, a hot tub, pool table, big screen TVs...we were really roughing it.
The view from our porch... Blake and his friend Ava Waggoner.

Every year the men make a steak dinner for the ladies on our last night at the cabin. They go all out and the food was delicious!

Out night out with the group.

Blake's First Halloween

Isn't this the cutest little cow you've ever seen! Blake didn't go trick-or-treating this year, but he did hand out candy and enjoyed seeing all of the neighbor kids in their costumes. Maybe next year when he has some teeth he can go trick-or-treating too...

Future Football Player?

It looks like Blake is excited to play some football soon!

Rough life...
Blake had his first taste of real food...if you can call rice cereal "real food". Just ask Devin--he tasted it and says it leaves a lot to be desired. Blake loved his high chair, but didn't seem to care for eating from a spoon. I'm not sure if any of the cereal really ended up in his stomach. I think he would rather eat his hands than that yummy cereal.

Tara's Birthday in Cincy

We spent labor day in Cincy and were with the family to celebrate Tara's birthday. Blake loved sitting with Great Grama Davis and listening to that southern accent. I hope to have a few more pictures to post here soon. Love, Devin

Blake is now 3 months old and is getting bigger each and every day. He is now flipping over and smiling at will. Michelle is back to work and Grandpa Hoover is watching him two days a week. It is amazing how much he has changed in such a short amount of time! Much love, Devin, Michelle and Blake

We were lucky to get to see the family one more time before they headed back to Japan. Both the babies were wide awake and were interested to see each other for about 15 minutes and about 30 pictures were taken. These were my favorites!

What a wonderful past week we had when the Brennan family was together in full for the first time since the babies have arrived. We had such a great time with Paul, Amy and Mia and were excited that our mother could see both here grandchildren together for the first time. It was a week full of relaxation and realization that my brother and I were actually fathers! We wish our family a safe trip back to Japan and hope that we get to see you soon. Much love, Devin, Michelle and Blake
